These were some of the most interesting racing photographs I've ever seen, not just of me, but of all the other riders
that passed through this difficult and scary section.
Miller Photographs, Aristocrats Photography and Cycle News
magazine were all perched at various locations along the creek, taking several hundred pictures between them. You can
see that my KTM 300MXC had already had a tough race - note the lack of headlight and the odometer cable hanging
helplessly (the odometer and cable were completely trashed, although I did salvage the headlight). This section of
rock-bed creek has been a popular spectator location for the last several years. In 2006, the viewing was especially
interesting because recent rains had turned the rock ledges in a raging waterfall.
